I have always enjoyed going back and re-reading Plato's The Allegory of the Cave. It's a great way to reaffirm my existential leanings. Another favorite is the old line "if a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?". Life flows through us not around us. My series of shadow photos are meant to be a visual manifestation of this idea. Are they shadows of some other objects or are they the objects themselves.
